Today our lives are busy - so much to do, so much to consume, so much to think about.  Our minds are full to the brim.  We're over-stimulated, stressed & anxious, & often our bodies start to suffer as they take on the burden too.  Yoga helps us to quieten the mind; to stop, rest & recharge. 

Through the physical practice we can work out our aches & pains & build strength & freedom in our bodies, & through the mental practice we can create peace, tranquility & happiness.

Private Yoga Lessons are all about YOU and your needs. I design my lessons with your guidance so that we are serving you holistically. Private Lessons are suitable for you:

  • If you don't have time to get to a studio, or prefer to be in the comfort of your own home. When our schedules are so busy, it can be hard to find a class that fits in with your day - but with Private Lessons, we can schedule them at a mutually convenient time.

  • If you desire some more individual attention & more time spent on specific areas. Group classes are wonderful, but sometimes the pace is such that we miss opportunities to ask questions, or we might wonder if we are doing something ‘right’, or whether there is a particular posture, breathing technique or meditation that would benefit us. Private Lessons allow you the opportunity to ask ALL the questions & we make sure that we are building a class that is right for your body and your mind!

  • If you are recovering from an injury. Whilst I am not offering Yoga therapy & would always recommend you seek professional help from your GP, Physio etc, if you have had a minor injury, Yoga can offer an effective way to rebuild strength in any areas of weakness. Working with breath & mindfulness can also help with any impact the injury has had on your mental wellbeing.

  • If you are completely new to Yoga. In a calm space, working at your own pace as a beginner, you can learn all the basic terms and postures, & spend time getting to know your own body & mind. Should you then choose to, you will have gained the confidence to move into a group class or set you up your own home practice. This ensures that you are practicing safely with a wealth of knowledge. We can discuss the various styles of Yoga and I’ll even teach you what ‘Namaste’ means!!

  • If you are not comfortable in group classes. There are many reasons why a group class may not suit you, so Private Lessons are the perfect way to experience Yoga without any fears, allowing you to develop at your own pace.

THE OFFERING:

  • 3 or 6 x private 1hr sessions in the comfort of your own home* or via Skype. By booking a course of 3 or 6 lessons we can really map out how you’d like the lessons to develop, giving you time in between each lesson to practice what we have learnt. And of course, there’s no need for you have to ‘get’ anywhere, as the sessions will take place in your home.

  • Individually designed private classes. Before we begin a course of lessons, we will have a telephone or skype consultation to discuss what it is you want to gain from the lessons.  Then I'll tailor each lesson to suit you.

  • We will address both your physical and mental wellbeing and practice techniques to help eliminate stress and maintain balance, including breathing techniques (Pranayama) and meditation.

  • I bring all props, I'll even bring a mat if you don't have one. You just provide a clean, clear, space in your home with no distractions & away we go - peace & tranquility without even leaving the house.

At the end of the course you will also receive a FREE guided meditation. This is then yours to download and keep & use as often as you like, helping you to continue to stay on your journey towards peace.

Perhaps you'd like to share your lesson with a partner, friend or family member?  This is also possible, as long as you have the space.  Please note that as these lessons are tailored to each individual, having more than one person in the lesson requires additional individual energy and expertise - as such, an additional £20 per additional person per session is charged (up to a maximum of 3 people).  I'm happy to chat with you about your requirements - just email me emma@emmadeery.com
