Yule marks the Winter Solstice in the Wheel of the Year — the longest night and the turning point towards the return of the light. It’s a time of deep rest, reflection, and quiet renewal before the slow reawakening that follows.
Traditionally, Yule celebrates hope, hearth, and rebirth. The darkness is honoured as part of the cycle — a necessary pause before new growth begins. Candles, evergreens, and shared warmth remind us that even in the stillness, life continues to stir beneath the surface.
This is an invitation to slow down, to gather close, to honour both the ending and the beginning. To reflect on what has carried you through the darker months, and to tend the small spark of what’s to come.
It’s also an invitation to step out of Mum mode and the Christmas frenzy, and to rest your body, and reconnect with yourself.
